We’re Building Strong Reputation

Message from the President

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Advisory Board of CIRECON, I am delighted to welcome you and to invite you to collaborate with our foundation so that together we can contribute to science-driven sustainable development.  The role of science in development, especially in creating a safe, prosperous, and better world through inventions, innovations, transformation, sound decision-making, and opportunities can not be overemphasized. We are all conscious of the fact that gender inequalities and discrimination in all forms are threats to sustainable development and human progress, especially in developing societies where women represent more than half of the population. Furthermore, the under-representation of women (and girls) in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) presents a serious barrier to the development of women’s full potentials that empower them to excel and effectively contribute to the socio economic, and political transformations in their societies.

Interdisciplinary research plays an important role in the promotion of new knowledge and provision of sustainable solutions to the complex problems and challenges to today’s world, thus creating enormous potential for Africa growth and development.

It is in the light of the above that CIRECON has been created.  At CIRECON we are convinced that every citizen of the world can play a role in nation building by contributing towards a more inclusive, just, and prosperous world through voluntarism, advocacy, research, inventions, public service, knowledge sharing and transfer.
